Adventure Island
Opened in 1980 and run by the same company as Busch Gardens across the road, Adventure Island is 30 acres of Florida water park: ten slides including Rapids Racer (billed as the world's first dueling-saucer section), a wave pool, and shaded kids' areas. It's the cooling-off companion to a Busch Gardens trip, or a full hot-day plan on its own.
Busch Gardens' sister water park across the street: nine slides, a wave pool, and lazy rivers. It is the default local answer to a 95-degree day, and bundling it with Busch Gardens tickets cuts the price hard.

If you're doing Busch Gardens too, buy the combo ticket — separate same-week admission costs more.
