Robinson Preserve Expansion

This section of Robinson Preserve was almost fifty houses. In 2012 the Robinson family sold 150 acres to a land trust instead, wrapping the original park on three sides with restored marsh, new trails, and a tree-canopy walk. That's why the observation tower still looks out on mangrove and open water in every direction, not rooftops.

Early morning at low tide, when wading birds work the restored marsh before midday foot traffic on the boardwalks.

The tree-canopy walk sits in the expansion section most day-trippers never reach — worth the extra loop past the main preserve.
