Villatel Resort Orlando is a villa resort on International Drive rather than a hotel: each unit is a private villa with a chef's kitchen, themed bedrooms and its own pool. The shared side is genuinely resort scale, with the Aqua Bay Waterpark and its lazy river, slides and Splash Cove, plus pickleball and basketball courts, a covered playground, an arcade and a 24 hour fitness centre. Universal is 2.1 miles away and Epic Universe 3.8, so you get park access without staying inside the crowds.

Best value when you have a group large enough to fill a villa, since you are renting the whole house and the pool with it.

The seasonal programming is guest only. If you want the Halloween or holiday build outs, you have to be staying on property.
