Hilton Orlando

hotels 4.4 (9,162)

If your reason for being in Orlando has a lanyard attached to it, this is about as frictionless as it gets: cross the covered air-bridge and you're in the convention center without touching a car or a rideshare. Underneath the business-hotel bones there's a genuinely good resort — a lazy river, two pools, a Topgolf Swing Suite, and an eforea spa — so the trailing spouse or the tacked-on weekend isn't a wash. Just know it's a corporate campus at heart, sprawling and a little anonymous, closer to SeaWorld than to any castle.

Best time to go

Rates swing with the convention calendar more than the weather — a big show in the OCCC can triple the nightly rate and fill the lobby bar. If you're coming for leisure, aim for the gaps between major conventions (and skip the summer humidity and afternoon storms if you can).

Local tip

The $47 resort charge already bundles the I-Ride Trolley passes and a scheduled Disney shuttle — use them and you can skip the $38 parking entirely if you don't need a car every day. Request a room on a high floor facing the pool/golf side rather than the parking-garage side.
