Discovery Cove

Discovery Cove is the anti-theme-park: opened in 2000, reservation-required, and capped at around 1,600 guests a day, so it never feels crowded. The all-inclusive day includes the headline dolphin swim, snorkeling the Grand Reef, a tropical river, and a free-flight aviary with 250-plus birds. It's a splurge and a full day, but it's the calmest, most personal attraction in Orlando.

If the dolphin swim is out of budget, the reef-and-aviary day is much cheaper and still includes the all-inclusive food, drinks, and snorkel gear.
