Founded in 1971 by Charlie Hawks, the bakery stayed in the Hawks family for 50 years until Orlando native Tricia Hage bought it in 2021, added house-made ice cream, and rebranded it Charlie's Bakery & Creamery in 2022. The original "Charlie's Originals" recipes that built its Curry Ford Road following stayed on the menu.
