You want a walkable festival. The venues span about ten miles and doubling up on screenings without a car is not realistic.
The move
Mildred Sainer Pavilion is where the marquee nights land, including opening and closing. Book those first and let the rest of the schedule fall around them.
Getting there
The main box office is at Cocoanut Avenue and 4th Street downtown, open about three weeks out. At Ringling College and Suncoast Technical the window only opens thirty minutes before the first screening, and all sales are final.
