Who should skip it

The move
Go on a weekday. Adult admission drops from about $16 to $12 and the ride armband from $45 to $35 — but note gates open at 11am Mon-Thu and the midway does not start until 1pm, so arriving at opening means two hours before the rides run.
Getting there
2026 introduced the fair's first-ever paid parking — $15 on site, $10 if you buy ahead online. Buying at the gate is the expensive way in.
